Right Now- December recap

 RIGHT NOW...

I'm listening to an audio book.  Oh how I enjoy a well done audio-book and this past year I've found several that have been so engaging, that even on the coldest of days, I'm willing to lace up my shoes and go for a stroll.  Sadly, this book (Malibu Rising) isn't that engaging-   in fact I've yet to find the rhythm of this read- hence why I'm finding the time to update the blog even before December has officially ended.

I'm loving  that snow is on its' way.   We've had unseasonably warm and dry conditions- with something like less than 1/10th of inch of snow has fallen thus far this season.  Toss in some wicked fierce winds yesterday- and my much loved home state is once against under fire- with close to 1000 homes lost to what is being called The Marshall Fire (located near the Boulder area)- an area I have fond childhood memories of as my mom's aunt and uncle called this place home.

I can't bear to look at the images-as entire neighborhoods are gone.    So instead, I shall direct my attention to my phone- where there are plenty of images that remind me of the beauty that this month brought my way...

My teammates and I made it to the finish line of first semester
I had a good hair day...just in time
to celebrate with my besties...at one of the  daughter's wedding
My book buddies and I gathered for some tasty eats at a brunch hosted by
"My friend, Fran"...
the prime rib turned out picture perfect...
and the Mr. made it home safely to join in the feast..
the family cooperated with my efforts for a group picture...
and honored my request for an updated picture of human Things...
and last but not least- one last BAGs adventure for 2021...

I'm feeling at peace...for in the grand scheme of things, my life and that of my family is headed in a good direction.
One Thing will be starting a new job in the weeks to come and the younger Thing is moving forward in pursuit of a nursing degree.

Until next time-
