He also knows there is no school and he gets to go to his pal's birthday party...
Which just happens to be the same day as "Arthur King JUNIOR"'s Birthday.
"Isn't that cool mom, J AND Arthur have the same birthday. Only, Arthur is dead. Some man shot him with a gun after he gave a speech".
Ok, I can see we need to work on that Auditory processing just a bit, and perhaps work on understanding the reason for the holiday as well!
