March 12 on the 12th...

Looks like I missed a clock when we sprung forward on Saturday...
Up and ready for the day!
Hey, wait what is this stuff?   I seemed to miss hearing this was part of the forecast

Oldest Thing was rewarded for being up and eager to tackle the state mandated testing that will define his next 3 days of school.   One large coke coming right up!
 Yes, these flowers are REAL.
And better yet, they are a week old.  Last week Tuesday, all that greeted my co-worker and I was ugly stuff...complete with a fussy parent (well, not really, but she did call and complain about how I was the nicest  rude person she'd ever spoken to).  I decided that if I brought in fresh flowers, it could  turn our mood and week around.  Guess what?  It worked...no more grumpy parents for the week, and in fact, I heard a few "You are the best" (would you mind calling my boss with that assessment?  thanks!)

TCAPs state testing means you have to be near-death (or more like near puking) before you get a pass to see me.  Which meant, a quiet day and a chance to catch up on IEPs.  I managed to finish up 7:  which I believe is a record for me (at least to finish at work, with next to no interuptions.

Testing schedule is a half day of student contact....so as soon as Thing One finished, he and I headed out to run a couple errands.  First stop, the library...

Can you believe it is 10 years old?   I remember when the lot was empty and the rumors were "we're getting a new library"....and next thing I know they tell me it is time to celebrate 10 years.
Such a happy place...

And now another book to add to my "reading" list (which reminds me, am way over due on a book review blog update, maybe next week?)

We owe-we owe...so off to the bank I must go...
Now we'll be able to pay our taxes...appropriate funds have all been transferred.

This is what 15 looks like...

And this is what 13 looks like...

They too are growing up too fast.  This past weekend, the youngest one borrowed his dad's flannel lined jeans to go play in the snow.   When did that happen?

.
There is something big  about to happen in our household.  One with "photos to follow" but for now...
I leave you with this photo of Hubby taking on the tunnel at Red Rocks...
and with words (borrowed from a fellow blogger and friend, Gary France, and who I believe borrowed it from Randy Komisar)

The Most Dangerous risk of all...the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.

Get out there...and find your joy in the journey...
