Before we take him to the ballpark...

I'm thinking he'll need some remedial education when it comes to this summer time sport.
Their school was offering discounted Rockies tickets so I ordered some for our family. The event isn't until August but the younger one is already very excited about our family outing

"Oh, I hope we get seated near the 50 yard line"...
He quickly caught himself and answered his own question "Oh wait, that's football, isn't it?"

For which he replied "Well, then hopefully I'll see an Empire when I'm there"... and nope, he didn't catch this mistake.

As Hubby (who by the way, thanks ya'll for your well wishes, he's doing great) pointed out "Ya know, he only wants to go so he can have a hot dog, right?"

Uh d'uh...and why might you think I'm wanting to go? Hello...ballpark food...nothing beats it!

We're taking our boys out to the ball game next Monday. It started being all about the treats, but as they get more into sports, they are actually watching the game. Frankly, it makes it more boring for me. I liked having the company of people who really weren't there for the game. Oh well...

My son was excited about going to a baseball game because, "Hey, the rules are just like kickball, right?!" I'm sure it will be fun, even if they don't know what's going on!

Ganelle, we're actually going to the Rockies game next Monday, too. It may be hard to miss us -- a parade of seven trying to crawl over other people to get to our seats (I'm just assuming we'll be late!). Maybe we'll see you there!

ROFLOL!!! Martha, you live in prime baseball country and your son thinks there's a 50 yrd line. Oh wait I guess football is bigger there. =)

Yes I'm bored & tired so my humor is off. =)

...and the dippin' dots, and the cotton candy, and don't even get me started on the kettle korn.

P.S. I hate close calls like that with your husband - soo glad he's all right.

My boys have never been into baseball, but I love ballpark food. I wonder if I could bribe them into going to a game this summer????

My dd only ever likes to go to ball parks to watch the "Hot Dog Derby" on the video monitor. Who cares that our beloved Sox are on the field!! She's watching cartoon hot dogs run around a track!

At least the food thing I can understand. :)

The last time I went to a baseball game we were 2 hours late because we had to walk past the Cheese Cake Factory!

Talk about all about the food!
